Age Limit	Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for UG Engineering admission (UGEA) 2023. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
Qualifying Examination	Candidates applying for UG Engineering admission should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2023, in any one of the following qualifying examinations: · The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi. · Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. · High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. · General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level. · As per VIT Norms, Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for Undergraduate Engineering programmes. Applicants should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining. · They should also provide the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Total (including all subjects) and upload the scanned copy of the mark list and other relevant documents whenever available on the application form. · For Indian nationals/ NRI/ PIO card holder, appearance in VITEEE-23 is mandatory to be eligible for B. Tech. admission under regular mode (Applicants under International/NRI quota exempted) . Candidates with rank Upto 1 Lakh are eligible for counselling to all the four campuses, VIT – Vellore, VIT – Chennai, VIT – AP and VIT – Bhopal. Rank holders above 1 lakh are eligible for counselling to VIT – AP and VIT – Bhopal campuses only.

VIT will verify the eligibility of candidates after completing the tuition fee payment on or before the stipulated date. Candidates are required to produce documents on the day of reporting to the campus or as and when asked for, by the Office of Admissions. Provisional Admission offered during counselling will be valid ONLY if the eligibility is fulfilled

Online Counselling Process

The counselling process is common for VIT group of Institutions. The online counselling will be held in five phases. The rank, schedule, choice entry will be available in the counselling portal. A non-refundable counselling fee of Rs.5,900/- is required to participate in the counselling process.

Nationality:

Applicants must be Indian nationals, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
NRI and foreign applicants can apply through specific application forms.
The minimum age limit is 18 years as of July 1st, 2002.

Qualifying Examination:

About Vit Engineering Entrance Examination

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITEEE will be conducted between 19 and 30 April 2024 (Tentative) at designated centres across India and abroad (No.of days will vary for test cities). The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates can appear only once for VITEEE. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the section Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only. The fee towards application and subsequent counselling is non-refundable. The detailed syllabus is available at www.viteee.vit.ac.in. The method of Equi-percentile is adopted for the merit list preparation of VITEEE-Computer Based Examination.

The applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO / OCI.
NRI applicants can directly apply under ‘NRI Category’ through NRI application form. (https://vit.ac.in/admissions/international/overview)

Age Limit

Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2002 are eligible to apply for Engineering admission 2024.
The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
Applicants should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counseling/admission, failing which their candidacy for admission will be disqualified.

Eligibility Criteria@VITEEE Engineering Admission

UG Courses: Student should go the 12^th or Its equal examination from a recognised board. Direct Admission in VIT Vellore Management Quota Admission 2024

10+2 or Higher Secondary Exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE).
Two Year Pre-University exam or Intermediate conducted by a recognized Board/University.
International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva or High School Certificate Exam of The Cambridge University.
General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
Candidates from NIOS will also be eligible for VITEEE 2023.

Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category and hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/Ladakh and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Tripura will be eligible with 46% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

Candidates are advised to fill the VITREE application form 2023 before last date. Applicants who fill the application form before the last date will be able to download the VITREE admit card 2023 a few days before the exam. VITREE 2023 exam comprises 100 questions. Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to refer to the VITREE syllabus and exam pattern for their preparations. The exam authority will release the VITREE result a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling/admission process later.
