@BMS Bachelor of Engineering (Lateral Entry)
This is a three-year-long engineering course where you start the course in the second year or the third semester if you have cleared the Qualifying Examination, i.e., any diploma or equivalent examination. You must also secure an aggregate minimum of 45% of marks taken together in all subjects of the final year diploma examination to be eligible for admission to this course.
Eligibility Criteria for BMS College of Engineering
FOR GENERAL MERIT CANDIDATES: A candidate that has Passed in 2nd PUC / / 12 Std / Equivalent Examination with English among the Language and acquired a minimum of 45 percent of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects at the qualifying exam is qualified to pursue undergraduate applications (BE).
The marks obtained by the candidate at Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science / Electronics from the qualifying exam will be considered at the area of Chemistry in the event the marks obtained from Chemistry is not as for the essential aggregate percentage to the chase of determination of qualification.
Entrance Evaluation: KEA / COMED-K.

A candidate who has passed Qualifying Examination i.e. any degree exam or equivalent examination and acquired an aggregate minimum of 45 percent ( such as General Merit Nominees ) of symbols taken together in most of the areas of the last season (i.e., fifth and six semesters) diploma exam (Q E) is qualified for entry to B E-Courses and 40% of marks from Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka Candidate.
