Bangalore Institute of Technology was started in the year 1979 and the institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). BANGALORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (BIT) is located in the heart of Bangalore, the “Electronic City” and “Silicon Valley” of India. The institution came into existence in August, 1979 under the auspices of Vokkaligara Sangha, Bangalore. The campus is well connected with the metro and other transportation facilities. The atmosphere in the college is quite conductive for learning and practicing the various disciplines of the Engineering. The all-round development of a student is given top priority in college. BIT Bangalore Engineering Entrance Exams, COMED-K: 30% of total seats are reserved in BIT for Comed-k counseling for students from all parts of India. Karnataka CET: 50% of the total seats in BIT are allocated through K-CET Counseling conducted by KEA only for Karnataka state students. COMED-K, Karnataka CET exams are held every year for B.E engineering degree courses admission in private, government and deemed engineering colleges in Karnataka.

BIT Bangalore – Admission Procedure –

The student should have passed 2nd PUC/12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/BioTechnology/Computer Science/Electronics/Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination. Currently, BIT is offering 13 undergraduate specializations and 4 postgraduate specializations.
