How is VITEEE 2024 Cut off Calculated?

An equating method is used to calculate the rank of the candidates in the entrance exam for VITEEE 2024.
It is going to be based on percentile method which is that the students obtaining equal percentile in the different test forms is going to be considered at the same rank.
The score obtained in different slots with the same percentile is going to be considered to be the same.
Students need to know that the VITEEE cut off is not going to be applicable to the requirement of qualifying marks which you need to be able to clear the entrance exam.

Applicant should be a Resident/Non-Resident Indian National/ROI. However, NRI applicants can directly apply under “NRI category” through application form. Similarly for foreign applicants who studied or studying abroad can apply directly through international application form.

Engineering Selection Process at VIT Vellore Direct Admission

On the basis of rank a candidate secures after giving CBT (Computer Based Test) VITEEE 2023, selection is done.
•   With a rank, student can participate in online counselling and can select the campus, program and category of fees. However, allotment will be made on the basis of rank obtained and the options available at that point of time.
•   Students having rank upto 1 Lakh are eligible for counselling to Vellore and Chennai campus.
•   After making the payment of VIT Vellore Admission fees, VIT will check the eligibility criteria.
•   Every student is required to present documents on the day of coming to campus or as and when asked by the office of Admissions.

VIT University Vellore came into existence in the year 1984 under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956 as Vellore Engineering College. Selvam, Sekar Viswanathan & Sankar Viswanathan are the Vice-Presidents. Dr. Anand A. Samuel is the Vice-Chancellor & Dr. V. Raju & Dr. S. Narayanan are the Pro-Vice-Chancellors.

This institution offers around twenty undergraduate, thirty-four postgraduate, four integrated & four research programs in various domains. The university has campuses in Chennai & Vellore in Tamil Nadu, India. A 200-acre new campus located at Amaravati is under construction and very soon classes will be started here.

 English as one of the subjects in the qualifying Examination.

 For admission to B.Tech courses, candidates should have completed 12 years of schooling (equivalent to the 10+2 system of Indian Education) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects

 A pass with Minimum aggregate of 60% or equivalent Grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology or Biotechnology (PCB) in standard XII or Equivalent Degree

 In case if they have studied Physical science with a combination of Physics and Chemistry as subjects in the qualifying examination, they should produce the certificate of approval from the school to that effect and also proper approval from AIU / Board of Studies.

About VITEEE Entrance at VIT Vellore Btech Direct Admission

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITEEE will be conducted between 19 and 30 April 2024 (Tentatively) at designated centres across India and abroad (No.of days will vary for test cities). The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates can appear only once for VITEEE-2024. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. Those who score ‘0’ in total will be declared as ‘Not qualified’ and will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process. There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the section Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only. The fee towards application and subsequent counselling is non-refundable. The method of Equi-percentile is adopted for the merit list preparation of VITEEE-Computer Based Examination.
