Engineering Entrance Exams Accepted at BMS Bangalore Direct Admission
Students are required to sit for the following examinations –
- Karnataka – CET (If you are a student of Karnataka state or have the domicile certificate of studying in Karnataka can appear in this test)
- ComedK (ComedK is a private institute who conducts ComedK Entrance exams which is a National Level Exam. All students belonging to India are eligible to apply for ComedK entrance exams held every year in the month of August)
Admission Procedure in BMS Engineering College

- Management Quota -20%
- KCET. – 45%
- COMEDK.- 35%
Fees structure is different for Management Quota, KCET and ComedK.
K-CET is conducted by Karnataka Government via KEA or Karnataka Examination Authority. For KCET the candidate must be the domicile of Karnataka. You can apply if you have a domicile certificate.
If you are able to score well then you have a chance to get admission to BMS College of Engineering.50% of the seats in the college are filled via the KCET entrance exam.
Documents Required at BMS Bangalore Direct Admission
The following documents have to be produced by the candidates at the time of admission to 1st year B.E. course along with the prescribed application form issued by the college.
CET Quota:
- Admission Order issued by KEA ( 04 Copies)
- SSLC / 10TH Marks Card [ for proof of Date of Birth]
- II PUC / 12TH Marks Card
- Study Certificate from previous College/Institute (Total 07 Years)
- Caste Certificate in case of Reserved Category [ i.e., SC, ST & OBC ] and students admitted under S N Q Quota are required to submitted Income Certificate compulsorily.
- Transfer Certificate
- Migration Certificate shall be submitted by Non-Karnataka students and students who have passed their qualifying examination other than PU Board.
- Students allotted under SPECIAL CATEGORY QUOTA (i.e., Rural, Kannada Medium, NCC, Sports, PH, Defence candidates etc.,) are required to submit the relevant original certificates & students admitted under Hyderabad Karnataka Quota, are required to submit the relevant original certificates. [ Annexure – “A’’ – Eligibility Certificate & Annexure – “B’’ – Residience Certificate.
- Recent Photos – 02 Nos. (Passport Size)
- Copy of AADHAAR CARD and any other documents if required.
- Students are required to scan all the above original documents along with Passport Size Photo and Signature individually in JPEG format only & size should be less than 2MB [ with 200 DPI resolution] and need to be submitted in the form of soft copy compulsorily in a pen drive.
COMED-K Quota:
- Seat Allotment Letter issued by Comed-K along with Fee receipt(04 Copies)
For Management Seats:
Provisional seat allotment letter issued by Management along with fee receipt. (04 Copies)
Please ensure that the candidate name and parent name should be printed as per SSLC / 10th marks card. - SSLC / 10TH Marks Card [ for proof of Date of Birth]
- II PUC / 12TH Marks Card
- Study Certificate from previous College/Institute & Caste Certificate in respect of students having score less that 45% in qualifying examination
- Transfer Certificate
- Migration Certificate shall be submitted by Non-Karnataka students and students who have passed their qualifying examination other than PU Board.
- Students allotted through Comed-K under Hyderabad Karnataka Quota, are required to submit the relevant original certificates. [ Annexure – “A’’ – Eligibility Certificate & Annexure – “B’’ – Residience Certificate
- Rank Card of any one of the Competitive Examination i.e, CET / Comed-K / JEE of Current Year (i.e., 2023-24) in respect of Management Quota only.
- Recent Photos – 02 Nos. (Passport Size)
