Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune is run by Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust (BRACT). The Trust was established on the 16th of June 1975 under Bombay Trust Act of 1950.

The Trust undertakes educational, religious and social activities. “Vishwakarma” as per Indian mythology, is an architect-engineer of the Gods. The Trust has adopted this name with a vision to develop engineers who can take up challenges in technical field with original work and creativity.

  • Internet Lab: Internet Facility is available for students and staff members. Wi-Fi facility is available within the campus.
  • Library: The central library of Vishwakarma was established in 1984 and since then provides with physical and intellectual access to information. The library consists of Reference Section, Journal Section, Reading hall, and Stack-Room. The library has a unique collection of Encyclopedia, Handbooks, Textbooks, Journals, Video Cassettes, CD’S, Video Courses etc.
  • Medical Facility: Doctor from Chintamani Hospital visits the campus daily and performs initial check-up of students and staff.

The college has about 2800 students, 225 faculty members, 67 laboratories, 1 central library and 150 administrative and supportive staff. Spread over an area of 7 acres (28,000 m2), the academic area consists of four major buildings. The campus has a canteen, a Nescafe coffee outlet, a fruit-juice(and breakfast) center and a bakery that remains open during the college hours, and a fully air-conditioned auditorium with ceiling fans The student’s hostel is off-campus The hostel is state of the art and is equipped with a mess facility for students.
