Admission Process for Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

The admission process at DSCE is conducted through common tests that are conducted by state agencies and national agencies like CET and COMMED-K. It commences in March every year and concludes on 31st July of the same year. The lateral entry (Diploma Quota) through CET is for 3rd semester and commences in July/August.

For UG, The admission to college is through the entrance test / Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Karnataka Government & Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka / COMEDK. The students with meritorious ranking are considered for admissions.

A pass in PUC/12th/10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with English as one of the subject/language.

DSCE Campus and Facilities

DSCE has a sprawling campus equipped with modern infrastructure and facilities. It includes well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, research centers, a library, sports facilities, hostels, and a cafeteria. The college has a very nice infrastructure with a hostel, playground, parking, canteen facility, college buses facilities.

Dayananda Sagar Academy of technology [DSATM] is the second campus under the Dayananda Sagar Group of Institutions established in the year 2013 at Kankapura road in South Bangalore.

Hostels are available for both girls and boys separately within the campus. The food court are very big which affords Indian, Chinese food. Classrooms are spacious and ventilated. The campus provides Wi-Fi facilities to the students. A huge playground is available facilitating students to participate in football, basketball, and other outdoor sports. Industrial visits are conducted regularly for the knowledge of the students.

COMED-K: Held every year in the month of May for B.E/B.Tech admission at Bangalore engineering colleges.

K-CET: Also known as Karnataka CET for admission in engineering colleges of Karnataka for students belonging to Karnataka State.

DSAT: Dayananda Sagar Admission Test for admission to Dayananda Sagar university for B.Tech and other courses.

Eligibility Criteria for Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

Candidate should have passed second year PUC final examination in optional subjects. The age of the students should be 17 years at the time of admission. Minimum of 45% marks should be scored. SC/ST students should have obtained at least 40% of marks. The students should have passed in the entrance exam conducted by Government of Karnataka. Candidates are also given admission on the basis of Management Quota.

Admission Process Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

Admission to DSCE is through state and national level entrance exams and seats are offered based on merit.  The admission is based on the performance of students in entrance exams like CET and COMEDK. The admission procedure starts in the month of April and concludes in the month of August. Students must fill these forms online, the date of which is announced well in advance.

A student must have a minimum of 85% attendance in each subject to be eligible for the end semester exams. Anyone with attendance of less than 85% will not be allowed to sit for the final examination.
