Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) is an autonomous college founded in the year 1979. It is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belgaum and has been approved by AICTE. The institute is ranked at 78 for B.Tech by India Today ranking 2022. Admission Process for Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

The admission process at DSCE is conducted through common tests that are conducted by state agencies and national agencies like CET and COMMED-K. It commences in March every year and concludes on 31st July of the same year. The lateral entry (Diploma Quota) through CET is for 3rd semester and commences in July/August.

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering Entrance Exams

COMED-K: Held every year in the month of May for B.E/B.Tech admission at Bangalore engineering colleges.

K-CET: Also known as Karnataka CET for admission in engineering colleges of Karnataka for students belonging to Karnataka State.

DSAT: Dayananda Sagar Admission Test for admission to Dayananda Sagar university for B.Tech and other courses.

Eligibility Criteria for Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

Candidate should have passed second year PUC final examination in optional subjects. The age of the students should be 17 years at the time of admission. Minimum of 45% marks should be scored. SC/ST students should have obtained at least 40% of marks. The students should have passed in the entrance exam conducted by Government of Karnataka. Candidates are also given admission on the basis of Management Quota.

Admission Process Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering

Admission to DSCE is through state and national level entrance exams and seats are offered based on merit. The admission is based on the performance of students in entrance exams like CET and COMEDK. The admission procedure starts in the month of April and concludes in the month of August. Students must fill these forms online, the date of which is announced well in advance.

A student must have a minimum of 85% attendance in each subject to be eligible for the end semester exams. Anyone with attendance of less than 85% will not be allowed to sit for the final examination.

DSCE Important Dates

DSCE Bangalore B.Tech admissions are done through KCET 2023. KCET 2023 application process has further extended and the application deadline is May 13, 2023. KCET exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 20 – 21, 2023 and the Kannada language test will be conducted on May 22, 2023.
