BMSCE was founded in 1946 by B. M. Sreenivasaiah with 3 undergraduate courses (Mechanical, Civil & Electrical), claiming to be “the first private sector initiative in engineering education in India”. Sreenivasaiah was followed by his son B. S. Narayan.

BMS College of Engineering COMEDK UGET cut off 2021 for the BE courses has been released by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental Colleges in Karnataka (COMEDK) in three rounds— Round 1, Round 2 Phase 1 & 2 and Round 3. candidates who were selected as per COMEDK Round 3 cut off 2021 were required to confirm choices on the allotted seat and pay the fee online by December 26, while the last date for reporting to the allotted college was December 27.

There are 14 departments recognised as Research Centres offering PhD and MSc (Engineering by Research) degrees. In the history of Karnataka, the name of the Late Businayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah (BMS) occupies a prominent place in the field of Philanthropy. The Maharaja of Mysore honored him with the title of Raja Karya Prasaktha in 1946.

He started the B.M.S. College of Engineering in the same year. He had foreseen the urgent need for high-quality technical education in India, even before independence. The ideals for which Sri. B. M. After the demise of “Sri. B.M.Sreenivasaiah”, his dynamic and enterprising son Sri. B. S. Narayan took over the reins of the college. The institution grew from strength to strength under his able guidance.

He was also instrumental in initiating international collaborative programs such as training foreign students under International Co-operation Division (ICD) and cross-cultural programs with Melton Foundation.

Through KEA/ COMED-K

FOR GENERAL MERIT CANDIDATES: A candidate who has Passed in 2nd PUC / 12 Std / Equivalent Examination with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination are eligible to pursue in undergraduate programs (BE). FOR SC/ST & OBC (Cat-I, 2A, 2B, 3A 3B) CATEGORY CANDIDATES: A candidate who has Passed in 2nd PUC / 12 Std / Equivalent Examination with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 40% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination are eligible to pursue in undergraduate pogroms (BE).

The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science / Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry are less for the required aggregate percentage for the pursuit of determination of eligibility.

For Management Admissions: Students have to take any one of the Entrance Examination

Through Lateral Entry Scheme

Three Years Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. – Lateral Entry Scheme) Programs:

A candidate who has passed the Qualifying Examination i.e. any diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45 % ( for General Merit Candidates) of marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (i.e., fifth and six semesters) diploma examination (Q E) is eligible for admission to B E-Courses and 40% of marks in Q.
