The college has about 2800 students, 225 faculty members, 67 laboratories, 1 central library and 150 administrative and supportive staff. The campus has a canteen, a Nescafe coffee outlet, a fruit-juice(and breakfast) center and a bakery that remains open during the college hours, and a fully air-conditioned auditorium with ceiling fans The student’s hostel is off-campus The hostel is state of the art and is equipped with a mess facility for students. It is located about 3.5 km from the academic area.

VIT Pune institute does not conduct its own entrance exam. Admissions to B.Tech programmes at the institute is on the basis of the score acquired in MHCET or JEE Main – Paper 1. It is mandatory for all aspirants to register and secure merit numbers through the DTE procedure.

Eligibility

For admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must have passed the 10+2 level or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum required marks.
Admission to the B.Tech course at VIT Pune is based on merit of JEE Main examination conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
Admission is also done through MHT-CET-2017 followed by a counseling based on the merit list.

PICT Pune‘s Bachelor of Engineering Program in Information Technology began in 2001 with an intake capacity of 60 students. The current intake capacity is 120 students. It has a multimedia laboratory, operating system Laboratory and network laboratory along with the programming and project laboratories.

Eligibility

Candidates must qualify for the Class 12 exam with PCM/ PCB with at least 45% marks from a recognised board.

Candidates with a diploma in engineering degree are eligible for the second year of engineering direct admission.

Candidates also must take the JEE Main or MHT CET exam.

Admissions

The PICT Pune admission process is an entrance-test-based process. Therefore, candidates must appear for the prescribed entrance test before applying to the institute. The PICT Pune admissions for various courses are done following the guidelines of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), the Government of Maharashtra. Candidates must register themselves on the CAP portal to participate in the centralised PICT Pune counselling process conducted by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. The institute also conducts the institute-level PICT Pune selection process for the management quota seats. Moreover, every candidate applying to the institute must ensure that they meet the PICT Pune eligibility criteria.

PICT Pune BE Selection Process 2023

Candidates with a valid JEE Main/ MHT CET score must register on the CAP portal to participate in the centralised PICT Pune BE counselling process. The Maharashtra State CET Cell conducts the CAP counselling process to provide admission to the various BE courses available at PICT Pune.

Candidates must complete the choice filling and confirmation process, and the State CET Cell releases the PICT Pune seat allotment results and PICT Pune cut off for BE programmes.

Selected candidates need to finalise their admission, pay the PICT Pune admission fee, and report to the institute.

Candidates willing to get admission to the Second Year Engineering programmes also need to participate in the CAP rounds to get selected for their desired programmes. The State CET Cell provides admission to such candidates based on their performance in the diploma exam.

The Candidate seeking for Admission in Sir MVIT College Bangalore, he or she has to follow below Eligibility Criteria

Minimum age for admission to First Year Degree is ordinarily 17 years.
The candidate should have passed Second Year PUC or XII Standard or 10+2 or equivalent examination (Qualifying Examination) with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Electronics as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study, and should have obtained at least 45% marks in the optional subjects.

Admission through CET

Government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test tentatively in the month of April every year. Karnataka domicile students can apply for this test and the allotment of the seats is done online. 45% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through CET. In addition to this, 5% of Super-numerary quota (SNQ) seats are also made available for the meritorious- economically weaker students with the tuition fee waiver provision.

Admission through COMED-K

Consortium of the management of the private colleges of Karnataka conducts this test tentatively in the month of May every year. Both Karnataka & Non-Karnataka students can appear for this test. 30% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through COMED-K test.
