R.V. College of Engineering (RVCE) established in 1963 is one of the earliest self-financing engineering colleges in the country. Located 13 km from the heart of Bangalore City – the Silicon Valley of India, on Mysore Road. Sprawling campus spread over an area of 52 acres set in sylvan surroundings. RV College of Engineering offers 35 courses spread across 3 major streams. The courses include 12 undergraduate programs and 21 postgraduate programs. The candidates looking for admission under any of the offered branch must fulfil the required eligibility criteria put up by the college. RVCE offers admission under merit as well as management quota.

Infrastructure –

R.V. College is spread over 16.85 acres (16 Acers & 34 guntas) Ramps and lifts have been provided to help the differently abled and sick. 90% of the class rooms are provided with multimedia projectors and internet facility. All academic blocks have secured Wi-Fi connectivity.

Hostel –

A home away from home’, is the concept of hostels in RVCE. We provide the best possible comfort needed for students. The number of students accommodated in a room depends on the semester. As the concentration and privacy required is more as a student progress from first year to final year, accordingly the accommodation is provided.

There is only one common mess for all the boarders and is provided in Cauvery block with vegetarian food. The boarders are provided sports, gymnasium and Wi-Fi facilities.

Admissibility Criteria :-

 70% marks or equivalent CGPA in 10th standard in Science & Mathematics separately.
 65% marks in Physics & Mathematics separately in 11th standard.
 60% marks in Physics & Mathematics separately in 12th standard.
 Candidates must appear in either CET/ COMEDK / JEE or in any other national entrance test.

The admission is based on marks scored in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) and COMEDK UGET. The application process for applying for KCET begins in the month of January every year while the application process of COMEDK starts in the month of February. Pass in PUC/10+2 or equivalent with Physics & Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics with English as Language having obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of Karnataka SC, ST OBCs). It begins from the month of April and likewise proceeds until all of the seats are full. Typically the admission process takes place even after the beginning of the courses. So it relies upon the schedule of seats in the college for the administration quota. There may be 25 % of reserved seats for admission in RVCE below monitoring allocation seats.
