Eligibility Criteria at PICT Pune Btech CS Direct Admission 2024

To secure a seat at PICT college, the institute takes into account a candidate’s JEE-Main scores or MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) and the 12th-grade exam for undergraduate admission in Engineering.

The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent exam with at least 50% (45% for reserved category) marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, and Biology, Technical, or Vocational subjects as required subjects.

Soon after the release of the MH CET and JEE Main results, counselling will be organized. Merit and the results of the counselling process will be used to determine admission.

PICT Pune Admission Process:

The steps included in PICT Pune admission process for B.E and M.E courses are given below:

Registration: The first step is to register for the respective entrance exams through the entrance exam portals. These tests include MHT CET/JEE Mains for B.E. and GATE for M.E.
Entrance Exams: Candidates must appear for the respective entrance exams on the scheduled date and time. Once the results of these tests are out, candidates can apply for B.E. or M.E. on the official website of PICT Pune.
Counselling: After receiving all the applications, a merit list of the selected candidates will be released taking into consideration their scores, seats available, and categories. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the CAP counseling process.
Reporting: After the counseling is done, the shortlisted candidates will be allotted seats in their preferred courses and will be required to report to the allotted institute to confirm their admission and pay the fee.

How to apply for the Entrance Exam?

Aspirants seeking admission to PICT Pune B.E. or M.E courses must follow the steps given below to apply for the respective entrance exams:

Step 01: For B.E, candidates must register themselves for the MHTCET/JEE Main entrance exams by visiting its official website @mahacet.org or @jeemain.nta.ac.in. For M.E, candidates must register for the GATE exam on its official website @gate2024.iisc.ac.in
Step 02: Click on ‘Apply Online’ or ‘New Candidate Registration’ and fill the online application form by creating a password and entering the personal details and other details.
Step 03: Upload a scanned copy of your photograph and signature.
Step 04: Pay the application fee in online mode through UPI/debit card/credit card/net banking

PICT Pune Scholarship 2024:

PICT Pune provides scholarship schemes for students under different categories as per the guidelines of the Maharashtra government. Some of the PICT Pune Scholarships are given below:

TFW scheme: The Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme is run by the government of Maharashtra and is available for meritorious students from the state of Maharashtra having a family income below INR 6 LPA.
Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulk Shishyavrutti Scheme: This scheme is specially for students belonging to the EBC/EWS/SEBC categories. The eligibility criteria for the scholarship is to be a domicile of Maharashtra with a family income limit of up to INR 8 lakhs per annum. Students selected for the scholarship will have over 50% of their tuition fee waived-off and will be given a maximum amount of INR 3000 p.m.
Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship: This scholarship is available to SC students having an annual family income of not more than INR 2.5 LPA. The selected students will be given 100% tuition fee concession
Scholarship for students of minority communities pursuing higher and professional courses (DTE): Students applying for this scholarship must belong to the minority community and their family income must be less than INR 8 LPA. Selected students will be awarded a maximum amount of INR 25,000 p.a.
Post Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability: PwD students having a disability of more than 40% are granted this scholarship where their full tuition fee is waived off.

Placements at PICT Pune

PICT Pune provides ample placement opportunities to the students. Among the 706 students placed, 272 were from the Computer Engineering department, 224 from the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering branch, and the remaining 210 students were from the Information Technology department.
