Eligibility Criteria
Students should have passed second year PUC final examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. Minimum of 45% marks should be scored. SC/ST students should have obtained at least 40% of marks. The students should have passed in the entrance exam conducted by Government of Karnataka. Candidates are also given admission on the basis of Management Quota and NRI Quota.
Students can apply for admission based on the class 12th, or B.Tech degree along with entrance exam scores for undergraduate & postgraduate engineering courses.
Admissions
For Admissions at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Bangalore, the aspiring students need to qualify the below criteria:
A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two-year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).
Entrance Exam: KEA / COMEDK
COMED-K: For B.E/B.Tech admission in MSRIT. More than 30% of seats are given in Comed-K counselling for students from all parts of India.
K-CET: For Karnataka state students who want to join MSRIT for B.E engineering. More than 45% of seats are allocated to local students through KEA counselling.
