Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering & Technology, Pauri Garhwal (Formerly known as Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering College) is an Institute with total commitment to quality and excellence in academic pursuits. Since the academic year 2012-2013, the institute got fully autonomous.

Eligibility Criteria at Govind Ballabh Pant
To apply for B.Tech, a candidate must have passed 10+2 in the Science stream. For selection, they have to take the JEE Main. Last year, the opening and closing ranks for B.Tech (JEE Main) were 24,209 and 78,825, respectively.

- Candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria and then appear for the entrance test (JEE Main).
- After securing a valid score in JEE Main, candidates have to register in the Uttarakhand Technical University counselling process. (Note: Uttarakhand Technical University is now known as Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University).
- While registering, candidates have to prioritise GBPIET (as college choice) and the desired GBPIET B.Tech specialisation.
- After the registration, candidates have to clear the GBPIET cutoff set by the university for admission to the particular course.
- After surpassing the cutoff, seats are allotted to candidates. Selected candidates have to get their documents verified and pay the fee to confirm their UG admission.
