Audit Course (Aptitude, soft skill and technical training) conducted through T&P Cell for pre-final year students. Aptitude training, tests and GD&PI sessions are conducted regularly to make students competent & to improve their performance in placement drives/Internships/Technical competitions and competitive exams.
The Training Placement Officer with ATPO, Dept coordinator and student council from all the departments’ works together to run the T&P cell. Job oriented refreshers courses and special training programmes are regularly conducted. PROFILE OF DIRECTOR
Dr Vivek S. Deshpande, holds Bachelors and Masters of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunications from Savitribai Phule Pune University (earlier known as University of Pune) and Doctorate from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He has got 31 years of experience comprising of both industry and academia. Dr Vivek S. Deshpande has worked at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune as Professor and Head of Computer Engineering Department. Currently, his research interest includes Wireless Sensor Networks, embedded systems, IoT, Industry 4.0 and High-Performance Computer Networks. Dr Vivek S. Deshpande has completed his Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship from Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, Europe.
He has published more than 70 papers in International journals and conferences of repute and has filed 24 Indian patents. Dr Vivek S. Deshpande is working on many research projects related to more social and industrial problems. Dr Vivek S. Deshpande is Senior member of IEEE, Pune Section (R10, India). He chairs Education Society and Industry Relations for IEEE Pune Chapter. He is also a member of the conference committee of IEEE Pune Chapter.
Dr Vivek S. Deshpande has recently developed a Wireless Network Lab. This lab is now converted into Center of Excellence for IoT. There are three verticals namely e-Health, Precision Agriculture and Smart City are targeted in this COE. Dr. Vivek S.
