Engineering Colleges Admission in Bangalore without Comedk
Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation, in their endeavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” (COMEDK). COMEDK has been assigned the task of organising a common entrance test for the current academic year. COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counselling (Single window system). The list of the Member Institutions who have indicated their participation in the COMEDK testing program, along with the courses offered by them, the difficulty standards of this exam are lower than JEE mains. To get admission in the top engineering colleges in Bangalore you can also give various other exams like BITSAT and VITEEE as well.
This entrance exam is conducted for the admission to undergraduate engineering courses at almost 190 colleges in Karnataka state. As per the COMEDK exam pattern issued there will be 1 mark given for each correct answer with no negative marking. This exam is conducted once a year. This exam is held for both the candidate’s seeking admission in B. Tech course and B. Arch course.
The COMEDK participating institutes have their own opening and closing ranks based on which the qualifying candidates are allotted seats. While the top institutes call for a higher rank in the entrance test, there are some colleges and universities which also accept low ranks in COMEDK. The following article wills overview the list of colleges accepting low rank in COMEDK (for 60,000 or above).
Public colleges do not provide direct admission to students; only by giving entrance examinations can students take admitted to them. JEE Main and JEE Advanced are national-level examinations for admission in engineering, while KCET is an engineering entrance exam conducted by KEA for admissions in-state colleges. However, if a student wants to take direct admission in engineering in Bangalore, there are many good options available to them in the form of Private Engineering colleges. Engineers working in multinational companies often travel overseas for conferences and to visit or inspect company facilities, adding variety to their daily routines.
Regardless of the engineering sector a candidate wants to pursue, being an engineer calls for a significant amount of dedication and hard work. Industrial engineering, instrumentation engineering, food technology, electrical engineering, and a variety of other branches are amongst the most sought-after engineering specializations.
