Campus Life

The Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) Pune campus is located near Lavale, on the outskirts of Pune. The campus is spread over a large area and houses a number of academic buildings, hostels, canteens, a sports complex, and a library.

The academic buildings are well-equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories, and computer centers. Btech Eligibility at SIT Pune Direct Admission

SIT Pune offers B.Tech admissions in 5 different disciplines. The minimum eligibility to apply for B.Tech program is 45% aggregate in 10+2, which remains to 40% for reserved categories. Also, the aspirants must have done 10+2 with mandatory subjects of Science and Mathematics.
For admissions to UG programs, the applicants must have taken National/ State Level Entrance Test namely JEE Main/MHT CET or must have obtained at least minimum cut-off scores in Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).

Admission Process at SIT Pune

Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune admission process includes multiple steps. Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility and selection requirements to get admission in SIT. Below is step-wise SIT Pune admission process:

STEP 1: SIT Pune Application Process 2024

The mode of application is online. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply online with an application fee of INR 1,000 for each programme. The application fee for SITEEE is INR 2,250 per test.

STEP 2: Selection

SIT Pune shortlists candidates for BTech programme based on SITEEE score. Candidates can also get admission to BTech based on JEE Main or any other State Engineering Entrance Exam. Aspirants can apply for admission to MTech programme based on GATE score. Aspirants unable to appear for GATE can come for the SIT Entrance Exam followed by a personal interview.

STEP 3: Merit List & Counselling

Once the selection process is over, the institute releases a merit list based on entrance examination scores, branch preferences, and availability of seats. Emails will be sent to merit-listed candidates with links to download the offer letter and pay the first installment of academic fees within 5 days of receiving the offer letter email.

Symbiosis Institute of Technology Scholarships

SIT Pune offers UG & PG Merit Scholarships to the B Tech & M Tech students based on their academic performance. There will be a 50% tuition fee waiver.
According to the revised policy, SIT offers a scholarship for the semester toppers in each branch by considering their overall academic record. To avail of the merit scholarship facility, candidates need to score a minimum of 80% eligibility in the exam.
If candidates are eligible for more than one free ship /scholarship by the institute, such candidates will be rewarded only one scholarship according to their preference. Also, there will be no income restrictions for availing of merit scholarships.
