R.V. College of Engineering (RVCE) established in 1963 is one of the earliest self-financing engineering colleges in the country.
The institution is run by Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) a not for profit trust. The trust runs over 25 institutions and RVCE is the flagship institute under the trust. RVCE is today recognized as one of India’s leading technical institution.
RVCE is affiliated with Karnataka’s Government Tech University, Visvesvaraya technical university,(VTU) situated in Belgaum, Karnataka. VTU is the main technical university that provides affiliation to all private as well as government engineering colleges of Karnataka.

R.V College of Engineering offers UG and PG level entry to the varying specializations in engineering, thus giving students a pool of options to choose from.
The admissions are made on the basis of candidates’ performance in the engineering entrance tests like KCET, JEE Mains and COMED-K. interested candidates can send their Class 10th, 11th or 12th pre-board final exams marks sheet along with the engineering branch they desire to join, post which the Trust will peruse the same & revert to the candidate.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in RV College Bangalore
10th std: Minimum 70% marks in Science & Mathematics subjects separately.
11th std: Minimum 65% marks in Maths & Physics subjects separately
12th std: if results are announced, a minimum of 60% in Physics & Mathematics subjects separately.
Candidate should compulsorily appear and have obtained a rank in Karnataka CET or ComedK or JEE Mains.
B.E (Bachelor of Engineering) is the UG level degree offered by RV college under VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University).
This is a 4 year duration course consisting of 8 semester in total wherein students will have to compulsorily attend one internship program of minimum 6 months after their final semester.
The students will be granted certificate on behalf of VTU.
Seat Allotment for RVCE-2023-2027
In this section, I will be giving you a complete idea about the percentage of seats that will be before the management quota.
In every engineering college, only a few seats will be allotted through the management quota. The other seats are given through entrance exams.
- Karnataka CET – 45% seats.
- COMEDK – 30%.
- Management quota – 25%.
Yes, only 25% of the seats in RV engineering colleges are given through management quota and direct admission. This is for undergraduate programs.
