Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai College of Engineering (PCE) has been a beacon of academic excellence since its establishment in 1999, with courses commencing from the academic year 2000-2001. This self-financed institution, affiliated with the University of Mumbai, has gained approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognition from the Government of Maharashtra. Pillai College of Engineering boasts an enrollment of over 2700 students across its six undergraduate, four postgraduate, and three Ph.D. research centers. Four key departments of PCE – Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering – received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for three years starting from 2008. Seeking continuous improvement, the college reapplied in 2015, leading to successful accreditation for these departments until 2018. Subsequently, in 2018, these three departments secured reaccreditation for the next three years until 2021.
