Engineering Eligibility Criteria at VIT Vellore Direct Admission

The candidate belonging to general category must have cleared their class 12 board examination or equivalent with a minimum aggregate percentage of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

*Candidate belongs to SC/ST hailing from Jammu & Kashmir/ Ladakh and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, scoring to 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology is required.

The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects in their class 12 board examination.
Applicant whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for direct admission in VIT Vellore.
Applicant should be a Resident/Non-Resident Indian National/ROI. However, NRI applicants can directly apply under “NRI category” through application form. Similarly for foreign applicants who studied or studying abroad can apply directly through international application form.

Engineering Selection Process at VIT Vellore Direct Admission

On the basis of rank a candidate secures after giving CBT (Computer Based Test) VITEEE 2023, selection is done.
•   With a rank, student can participate in online counselling and can select the campus, program and category of fees. However, allotment will be made on the basis of rank obtained and the options available at that point of time.
•   Students having rank upto 1 Lakh are eligible for counselling to Vellore and Chennai campus.
•   After making the payment of VIT Vellore Admission fees, VIT will check the eligibility criteria.
•   Every student is required to present documents on the day of coming to campus or as and when asked by the office of Admissions.
